Bisevo is an island located about five nautical miles southwest of Komiže. Its surface area is approximately 6 km2, and it has several villages: Mezuporat, Porat, Poje, Velo Negro, Nevaja, Potok and Upper and Lower Salbunara However, today these places, except in summer, is very sparsely populated. The coast is 14 km long, but mostly steep and inaccessible, and of about ten bays, only in the bays Mezuporat, Salbunara and Porat were costructed a small piers appropriate for mooring boats.
The island has a church of Sts. Sylvester from the XVI cent. where Mass is held on New Year’s Eve and, unfortunately, abandoned schools. The most visited places on the island are definitely beautiful sea caves.
